By default the alarm on the Tags will trigger when another Tag gets within 2m range. You can configure this distance by going to the Settings section in the Infection Insights application:
After configuring the alarm distance in the web application it will need to be propagated to the Tags. This happens over BLE and will happen when:
- The Tag is in range of the anchor
- The Tag is charging
- The Tag has at least 15% of battery
The Gateway will update each Tag 1 by 1: It will connect with a Tag via BLE, read out the charging state and battery level, and if the requirements are met it will start updating the settings of the Tag. If the requirements are not met it will simply disconnect and check again later. When the Gateway is connected with a Tag via BLE the Tag's LED will blink blue at a rate of 2Hz.
